My Patron is a Catholic spiritual companion app. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do.

What we collect

My Patron collects very little data:

• Conversation content — messages you send are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
• Conversation history — stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it.
• App preferences — your selected saint and settings are stored locally on your device.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information
• We do not require an account or sign-in
• We do not track your location
• We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs
• We do not sell your data to anyone
• We do not share your conversations with third parties, except as required to process them through the Claude API

Third-party services

My Patron uses the Anthropic Claude API to power conversations with saints. Messages you send are processed by Anthropic's servers. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.

Children's privacy

My Patron is rated 4+ but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Disclaimer

My Patron uses artificial intelligence to simulate conversations inspired by the writings and lives of Catholic saints. Responses are generated by Claude (Anthropic) and may contain errors. This app is not officially endorsed by the Catholic Church or any diocese. It is not a substitute for the sacraments, a confessor, or a spiritual director.
